Are you ready to share some love???
The deadline has been extended!

Not for profit organizations are invited to partner with us in fund raising, even as you get your name out there, and have some fun creating your awesome lip sync video!

We told you this was coming – the first annual #looselipsync contest and love fest.  Now it’s time for your organization to step up to the plate, share some love, and raise some money for all the good work our organizations do in Queen Anne’s County.

The process is simple:  round up some “syncers” and a cell phone videographer who has the YouTube app, and record your group lip synching along to a favorite tune.  Upload your video to YouTube and fill out the form found at https://form.jotform.com/90917021420143 including the share link from YouTube.* Submit the form by clicking the button at the bottom.  DEADLINE:  June 4.

Our webpage will go live as soon as the first videos are received, and remain open for voting until June 21.  By the way, votes are available in blocks of seventeen, for a dollar a vote.

Help us – and yourself -- even more by sharing our video with your social media friends on Facebook and Instagram.  #looselipsync #lovinqueenannes # insert name of your club #centrevillerotary

You might post on Facebook, for instance, with some or all of the following:  just be sure to include the link to our webpage and the contest.

[Name of your organization] will sharing the love here in Queen Anne’s County, and we need your votes to raise awareness -- and dollars.  Follow this link to the webpage for the Rotary Club of Centreville, Maryland, and vote for us with your dollars.

Centreville Rotary is known in the community for Rotary House, scholarships for our students, dictionaries for third graders, Wells for Life, and support for a wide variety of organizations in Queen Anne’s as well as participation in national and international projects such as the elimination of polio, a signature project for Rotary.  While the club will retain a percentage of your voting dollars to accomplish their own good work, [name of your organization] will earn 25% of the take.

Vote early and often!

On the form, notice that you have 100 words to give important details about your organization that will be shared on the voting page, another way to get the word out about your organization.

You can either pay online through our safe Square store, or mail a check to Centreville Rotary, P.O. Box 533, Centreville MD 21617.  Registration is only $27.00.  What are you waiting for?

Please note that your video should not be longer than four minutes (even that is a lot for some people’s attention spans) and that all content, lyrics and performances alike, need to be family friendly.  We reserve the right to withhold any video deemed inappropriate.

Get syncing!

Community Invite - Centreville Rotary Open House 2015-09-03 00:00:00Z 0
Becoming a member of Rotary International and the Centreville Rotary Club is very different than most of our civic and community affiliations.  The first surprise comes when one learns that you must be invited to join by a current member of the Rotary Club in your community.  And members are always seeking fellow professionals and community leaders to add strength and vision to the club’s program of work.

This week's meeting on Thursday, July 30th, will feature Mark Anderson, County Commissioner for Queen Anne's County.  He will give us a short update on the state of our county.

We also want to thank Rich Graves and his bride, Kim, for hosting a wonderful party at their home this past Saturday.  Beautiful sunshine, fellowship and good food was had by all.  And special Thanks to Karen Marshall for helping us with the preparation and planning.

Also want to remind everyone to check your contact list for new partners for our Report to the Community.  This is our largest fundraiser of the year.  From this,  we are able to support our scholarships for high school students.  We Need Your Help.  Please consider becoming a benefactor, too!  We have a lot of worthy projects we want to support this year.

See you Thursday!

The "Flags for heroes" endeavor will be one which honors individuals by displaying an American Flag in their name on Memorial Day weekend, through sponsorships from our local community members. the flags will be displayed Friday May 22nd through Monday May 25th as well as newspaper coverage for those names of the honored.

If you wish to participate you may elect to be an individual sponsor at $50 per person honored or  a corporate sponsor at $250, $500, or $1000. Donations are tax deductible and should be and payable to Centreville Rotary Community Fund and sent to P.O Box 533, Centreville, MD 21617. the money raised from this event goes right back in to the community in various ways through our work.
